ITAD is what a business does with equipment it no longer uses: destroy the data, recover any remaining value, recycle what's left, and keep evidence of all three. The order is what separates vendors. Most start at disposal and treat value as a rounding error. We start at value, because on a fleet of phones and laptops that's usually thousands of dollars.

Because hauling is their business model. They earn on the pickup fee and keep whatever the hardware resells for. That's reasonable for pallets of dead monitors and servers, it's a bad deal for a fleet of three-year-old iPhones and MacBooks that still carry real market value. If your retired equipment is mostly mobile and portable computing, you're on the wrong side of that trade.

We record about 58,000 competitor prices every 24 hours across 18 competing buyers and roughly 560 devices, and re-price daily. Your valuation reflects what the market pays the day we inspect, not a rate card written last quarter. It's also why we can promise to beat any competitor's written quote by $2: we already know what they're offering.

Every device is sanitized to NIST SP 800-88 Purge, the level that defeats laboratory recovery, not just a factory reset. You get a signed Certificate of Data Erasure per asset recording the device, serial/IMEI, method, standard, result and timestamp, plus chain-of-custody documentation from collection through settlement. Media that can't be verified is physically destroyed and logged on the same certificate.

Don't bother. A reset can leave recoverable data behind, and it produces no evidence, if someone later asks you to prove a device was sanitized, a reset gives you nothing to show. Do release MDM and remove activation locks, though: a locked device is worth a fraction of an unlocked one.

Nothing. No pickup fee, no per-device fee, no minimum. Freight is on us both ways (free pickup if you're in Dallas-Fort Worth), and anything genuinely past value is recycled responsibly at no charge. You receive a payment, never an invoice.

One payout per batch, issued promptly we finish inspection. ACH, check or PayPal. Your per-device settlement report lands with it so finance can reconcile the lot line by line.
