At inspection
Common Galaxy Tab S7 FE issues we check at inspection
- Screen scratches or cracks. The large 12.4-inch TFT LCD display is prone to scratches from everyday use and can crack from drops. Sellers often list this as 'screen damage' or 'cracked screen'.
- Battery health degradation. The 10090mAh battery, after 2-3 years of use, commonly shows reduced capacity, leading to shorter battery life. Sellers might not explicitly state battery health but it's a common underlying issue.
- S Pen functionality issues. The S Pen, a key accessory, can experience connectivity problems, responsiveness issues, or simply be missing from the listing. This is often not tested or reported by sellers.
- Charging port issues. The USB-C charging port can become loose, damaged, or accumulate debris, leading to slow charging or failure to charge. This is a frequent reason for 'AS-IS' listings.
- Cosmetic wear on aluminum frame/back. The aluminum build is susceptible to dents, scuffs, and scratches, especially around the edges and on the back panel. This is typical for used devices.
- Wi-Fi or Cellular connectivity problems. Less common, but some listings may indicate issues with Wi-Fi reception or the 5G cellular modem failing.
