Common Garmin Vivoactive issues we check at inspection
- Low light screen visibility. The transflective display, while excellent in sunlight, lacks a strong backlight for optimal visibility in very dark environments.
- Occasional GPS inaccuracies. Some users reported occasional inaccuracies with GPS tracking, particularly in challenging environments like dense urban areas or heavy tree cover.
- No built-in heart rate monitor. Unlike many newer smartwatches, the original Vivoactive does not feature a built-in optical heart rate monitor, requiring an external ANT+ strap for heart rate data.
